Patriots vs. Broncos highlights: Bailey Zappe hits Mike Gesicki for New England’s 2nd touchdown

The New England Patriots offense started its Week 16 matchup with the Denver Broncos slowly, but it has since found its footing and put together some solid drives. The latest of which ended in New England’s second touchdown of the night.

Starting in terrific field position at the Denver 42-yard line, New England needed just five plays to find the end zone — including a 30-yard pickup between quarterback Bailey Zappe and wide receiver DeVante Parker. After another 11 yards were gained via a catch-and-run to Tyquan Thornton, the Patriots found themselves 11 from the goal line.

Those 11 yards were covered via a Zappe-to-Mike Gesicki touchdown pas that put New England up 16-7.

The TD was Zappe’s second of the day and sixth overall this season. For Gesicki, it was the first touchdown of the game and second this season after the game-winner against the Buffalo Bills in Week 7.
