It marks the first time since 2000 no Patriot will make the Pro Bowl.

The NFL officially announced the 2024 rosters for the Pro Bowl Games Wednesday night, in which zero New England Patriots were selected.

It marks the first time since 2000 that the Patriots won’t be represented at the event, which comes in a season in which New England will finish last place in the AFC East for the first time since 2000 — Bill Belichick’s first year as head coach.

Despite no players earning a spot on the Pro Bowl rosters, rookie punter Bryce Baringer was the lone Patriot to finish inside the top ten of their respective position during fan voting.

Baringer, who the team selected in the sixth-round of the NFL Draft back in April, enters Week 18 leading the league with 36 punts downed inside the 20. However, the rookie finished seventh overall — fifth in the AFC — among all punters during fan voting.

A case could have been made for defensive lineman Christian Barmore and safety Jabrill Peppers to earn recognition as well. Barmore has enjoyed a year three breakout, recording a career-high 8.5 sacks while ranking top 15 among all interior defenders in pressures and run stops.

As for Peppers, the 28-year old has taken on a significant role in the Patriots secondary during his second season with the team. The hard-hitting safety has been amongst one of the best run defenders in football while being directly involved in a handful of turnovers.

The 2024 Pro Bowl Games will return to Orlando this year for a multi-day AFC versus NFC competition, featuring Pro Bowl Skills and ending in a flag football game on Sunday, Feb. 4th.
