The Patriots will travel to Highmark Stadium in Week 17.

The New England Patriots are riding an active one-game winning streak over the Buffalo Bills into the two teams’ meeting on New Year’s Eve. Despite beating their division rivals 29-25 in Week 7, however, the two AFC East clubs are in a different position this week.

At 4-11, the Patriots are already eliminated from playoff contention and playing for little more than honor and possible draft position over the final two weeks of the season. Buffalo, on the other hand, is right in the playoff competition: the 9-6 squad is currently in, but has little wiggle room in a competitive conference.
