Well, that’s too bad. Looks like a real bargain. Will the Red Sox be interested in Jordan Montgomery or Blake Snell at more years and dollars? Potentially still looking to shed Kenley and Masa for cost savings. Which may or may not be to sign players, just to cut costs. There’s still a lot to like about the team…but why not do a little more? The AL East is tough but each of the other teams is flawed as well. The Rays “collapsed” into a 99 win season and rode that first month for all it was worth. Wander is gone. The Orioles still don’t have great pitching. The Yankees are 80% Aaron Judge. The Blue Jays have Vlad as a superstar…in 2021. But all of those teams are acting like they can win the East.
