Despite being the New England Patriots’ best and most productive wide receiver over the first half of their disappointing 2023 season, Kendrick Bourne’s future with the team is uncertain. Not only did he tear his ACL in October, he also is scheduled to enter unrestricted free agency in mid-March.

However, if a comment of his on Instagram is to be believed, he does want to come back to the team he spent his last three seasons with. Commenting on a post from fellow wideout DeMario Douglas, Bourne replied that he wants his teammate to “Make the Patriots bring me back.”

Whether they will or not remains to be seen, but Bourne did look good before his season-ending knee injury. For a team short on receiving talent and heading into an offseason that will likely result in a new quarterback being brought in, keeping the veteran around would make sense.
